What splitting today?

Award-winning tool for splitting impossibly large files on blocks. You can split file into any number of blocks up to 1000 blocks. 4th split stored all information about source file in first block. It allow to restore full information about file after joining (uniting) blocks on target computer. Following information stored in first block: number of blocks, size of file (for verification), extension, attributes, date/time of created, modified, opened. 4th split also have full support for WinSplit.

Friendly user-interface is very easy to learn and organized in two panel style with treeviews in Explorer like style. In left panel you can find the Source Data treeview. This treeview is for selecting file for split. Under treeview you can see three comboboxes. First combobox labeled Filter is for setting filter for contents in Source Data treeview. Second combobox labeled Size of block filled with predefined sizes of block. You can change size of block by simple typing your new size. Third combobox labeled Mode is for selecting mode of splitting. In right panel you can find then New Data treeview. This treeview is for selecting folder for splitted blocks. Under treeview you can see the information panel. On this panel program displays information about file for split or splitted file.

First two digits is the version of signature of splitted files. At this time 4th split can sign splitted files with two versions of signatures: 1.0 and 1.1.
Last two digits is the version of program. All versions of program with the same first two digits have the same splitting and uniting engine. So, file splitted with 4th split 1.1.9.0 can be united with 4th split 1.1.0.0, 1.1.4.4 etc.
